This rubric closely reflects the National Invention Convention rubric, including all elements of the invention process. 


State Finals Rubric 



When finalists register, they are typically asked to choose a category that best fits their invention. Many inventions can fall under multiple categories. Invention category does not affect general judging, but rather is used to help some of our sponsor and specialty awards judges identify various types of projects. The categories are listed below.
