Professional development sessions are offered to all registered programs! Prospective participants, and educators interested in invention education are also welcome to join a session as space permits.
Please see below for upcoming workshops! If you have any questions about our workshops, please reach out to Kerry Macfarland kerry@ctinventionconvention.org
Friday, January 10th 2025 - @ Quinnipiac University - Hamden, CT
9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
This in-person workshop is open to CT and MA educators who will be (or are interested in) running an invention convention program. New and returning invention educators are welcome!
Training is not required to run Invention Convention; however we strongly encourage educators new to the program to attend a training, which will provide an overview of how the program works as well as an opportunity to become familiar with our curriculum and some of the activities within. A training session is also a great way to connect with our staff and other invention educators and to expand your knowledge of invention education.
Most of our in-person workshops include a participant fee. Please refer to each sign up form for specifics. Workshop fees will be added to your school's registration invoice unless requested otherwise. All workshops include light breakfast, lunch and parking where applicable. Please reach out to us if you have any budgetary constraints that would preclude you from attending a workshop.
Reach out to us! We will work with you and/or your educators to ensure that you are ready to implement the program. While we encourage participation in an in-person training, we may be able to offer a virtual training for those unable to attend in person. Site-specific trainings may also be available for an additional fee.
