CIC offers professional development sessions to all registered programs! Prospective participants, and educators interested in invention education are also welcome to join a session as space permits.
Please click on a session below for details and to register. Check back as new sessions and opportunities are sometimes added.
Interested in a specialized session for your school/district? please contact Kerry Macfarland kerry@ctinventionconvention.org
Please reach out to kerry@ctinventionconvention.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Training is not required to run CIC; however we strongly encourage educators new to the program to attend a training, which will provide an overview of how the program works as well as an opportunity to become familiar with our curriculum and some of the activities within. A training session is also a great way to connect with CIC staff and other invention educators!
CIC offers both virtual and in-person training options throughout the fall and winter to accommodate different schedules. Both training types cover topics such as program structure, logistics and curriculum. However, our in-person trainings allow for more time to explore and get hands-on with activities, and to collaborate with other invention educators.
Reach out to us! We will work with you and/or your educators to ensure that you are ready to implement the CIC program.
