Why Support The Connecticut Invention Convention?

For nearly forty years, the Connecticut Invention Convention has brought meaningful and accessible innovation programs to youth in Connecticut and beyond. Today, it has grown to reach more than 300,000 students, and now brings its programs to 1-in-4 Connecticut youth across their K-12 career. 


  • The Connecticut Invention Convention (CIC) is a 501c(3) K-12 non-profit
  • More than 57% of CIC inventors identify as female
  • More than 34% of CIC inventors identify as inventors of color
  • More than 33% live in below median income areas
  • More than 80% of CIC's revenue is dedicated to student and educator support
